Following the dissolution of the parliament in Israel, in the general elections held for the 5th time in the last 4 years on November 1, the right-wing bloc led by former Prime Minister and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu won 64 seats in the 120-seat parliament, providing the majority sufficient to form the government. Israeli President Isaac Herzog has formally appointed the winner of the election, Netanyahu, to form the new government.
The Likud Party, led by Netanyahu, was the first with 32 seats, Yesh Atid, led by Prime Minister Yair Lapid, was the second with 24 seats, and the National Unity Party, led by Benny Gantz, was the third party in the parliament with 12 seats. The United Arab List of Israeli citizen Palestinians won 5 seats in parliament.
The current Prime Minister in the country, Yair Lapid, had decided to choose after the coalition was shaken.
