While Israeli attacks, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the blockaded Gaza Strip, continue, Israelis whose relatives were taken captive by Palestinian groups held a demonstration against the government. The “support for the relatives of the captives” demonstration turned into a protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Activists chanted slogans such as “Netanyahu should go to jail” and “Netanyahu resign”.
“THERE IS NO TRUST LEFT, RESIGNATION”
At the demonstration, banners saying “Netanyahu, your hands are stained with blood”, “We were left alone”, “Bring the captives back immediately” and “There is no trust left, resign” attracted attention.
Hamas’s armed wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, and other Palestinian groups launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, called the “Aqsa Flood”. Palestinian groups had captured many civilians and soldiers from Israeli settlements and military points around the Gaza Strip.
