Negotiations between Israel and Hamas at “deadlock”

Talks about a new ceasefire between Hamas and Israel are going nowhere.

At the same time, Hamas is accused of not upholding its part of the agreement to release all women and children held hostage.

Now Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is calling home Mossad negotiator David Barnea from Qatar, where the negotiations have been ongoing – without results.

Attacked 400 targets

Since the seven-day ceasefire expired on Friday morning, the Israeli military, the IDF, has attacked over 400 “terrorist targets” in Gaza.

– What we are doing now is to strike against military Hamas targets all over the Gaza Strip, says Jonathan Conricus, spokesman for the IDF.

Hamas-controlled authorities said on Saturday that 240 people had died in the 24 hours since the ceasefire ended. 650 people are said to have been injured.
