Stability is poor because the roots have rotted away. Old age is the main cause, according to the municipality, but also include flooding and mowing damage. Fruit production, as the volunteer group wanted again, is no longer possible with the current trees. It is expected that most trees can remain for a few more years to a maximum of fifteen years, but they will no longer leaf and flower properly.
