The funeral of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, who died in prison, will be held in Moscow on Friday.

The opposition politician who died in mid-February To Alexei Navalny a transport vehicle is not available for the body, says Navalny’s spokesman Kira Jarmyš in X.
– First, we were not allowed to rent space for the funeral to say goodbye to Aleksei. Now, just before the funeral is to be held in the church, the funeral homes say that no transporter will agree to take the body there. Unknown persons are calling everyone and threatening not to take the body anywhere, Jarmyš writes.
In another publication, Jarmyš says that the funeral will be held despite the opposition. According to the spokesman, the funeral will be broadcast live on Navalny’s YouTube channel.
Also independent Russian media Medusa writes that according to Navalny’s aides, not a single hearse agreed to take the politician’s body to the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God in Marijino.
According to Meduza, transport companies have received threats if they help transport Navalny’s body.
Navalny, who died in prison, is to be buried at Borisov Cemetery in Moscow. The funeral will start tomorrow at 2 pm local time.
Navalnyi died under unclear circumstances in a penal colony in Harp, Siberia. The leaders of the Western powers have liked the president Vladimir Putin administration as responsible for the death of Russia’s most famous opposition leader.
