Nature organizations ask for peace during the breeding season

Free-roaming dogs in particular are a source of annoyance for many forest rangers. These disturb the birds on the ground and are dangerous for young fawns, who are still very vulnerable. Furthermore, most paths in nature reserves are laid out in such a way that there is enough space for recreationists and at the same time enough rest for the animals. Some trails or areas are closed during the breeding season. “In the spring, people visit nature for maternity visits, where new plants germinate and animals mate, breed and suckle,” say the nature managers.
