NATO clarifies regarding the four US soldiers who were reported on Wednesday to have died in a military exercise in Lithuania.
The soldiers remain disappeared but have not been found dead.
Yesterday, NATO Secretary -General Mark Rutte said that four US soldiers had been involved in an incident and suggested that the soldiers were dead. But the fate of the soldiers is not confirmed, according to the military alliance.
“The search is ongoing,” Nato says in a statement of X.
“We regret all confusion regarding the Secretary -Secretary’s Mark Rutte’s comments about the incident. He referred to emerging news reports and did not confirm the lack of fate, which is still unknown,” they continue to be written.
According to the US Army, the armored vehicle in which the four US soldiers were in an exercise has been found submerged in a river.
