Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen hit great heights in hockey’s NHL.
Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen shone in Colorado’s 6–4 victory over Ottawa in the hockey NHL. MacKinnon and Rantanen were responsible for all of the Avalanche’s goals. MacKinnon, who got into a frenzy, scored 4+1, Rantase had a tasty two-goal night.
The visiting team Ottawa had a 4–2 lead in the second set, until Rantanen reduced the situation to 4–3 in the final minute of the set. In the third set, the power duo MacKinnon and Rantanen scored one minute apart: MacKinnon scored Colorado’s equalizer and Rantanen’s 5–4 winning goal. Both goals were scored with overpowering. MacKinnon completed the 6–4 victory by shooting the puck into an empty goal.
MacKinnon is playing a top season and is in second place in the NHL point exchange, just four points away from the leader Tampa Bay From Nikita Kutcherov. Kutsherov has 57 (23+34) power points and MacKinnon now has 53 (18+35). Rantanen has 42 power points (17+25).
Luostarinen scored a special goal from the field
Florida Panthers Eetu Luostarinen was responsible for the most special goal of the game against the St. Louis Blues. However, Luostarinen’s goal did not save Florida’s night, as St. Louis won the match 4–1.
St. Louis was leading by two goals when Luostarinen scored a strange tying goal in the second period. Luostarinen shot from half of the court and spectacularly bounced the puck into the goal from the edge of the rink.
