Nathalie Kaïd, women on edge

Nathalie Kaid women on edge

Nathalie Kaïd’s new project is called “Tattooed love”. A beautiful book that brings together testimonies of women around texts and photos revealing their bodies and their souls. They found in the tattoo for some an art form and for others a therapy.

It’s a story of ink. “I anchored myself with an ‘e’, to anchor myself with an ‘a’. “. This is what Aurélie explains. Aurélie is one of the 195 tattooed women who reveal their bodies and souls in the beautiful book by Nathalie Kaidpresident of the association ink sisters.

An art book of more than 300 pages, with 530 color photos that magnify bodies that have become works of art, including – for a few pages – female bodies stricken by breast cancer.

Portraits of women and words, often very simple and very strong, those of these women who bear witness to what the tattoo represents for her. Why did they get tattooed? What did they choose to imprint on their skin? What has changed in their body, in their mind, in their view of themselves, in the view of others too?

On-the-spot testimonials that tell the intimate in black and in color. The book “S’aimer tattooée” is published by Véga editions by photographer and visual artist Nathalie Kaïd.
