Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Right now, the Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan and the national association FUB conduct study circles and simple politicians’ talks, within the concept “My Choice” all over Sweden, to teach the politicians how they can adapt the information to people with IF.

A local representative from almost every party was present in Söderköping during a debate where questions about decisions and rules affecting the target group that has LSS interventions were raised. The questions dealt with, among other things, leisure time, transport services, accommodation, daily activities, the years of old age and finances.

Nathalie about the politicians: “Don’t talk about LSS”

Nathalie Högö tells us that her most important election issues are about jobs and wages.

– This with salary and how to discriminate against people who have an activity allowance. They still benefit from daily operations and get to work for so little money. It’s absolutely insane, she says.

To the politicians, she wants to say:

– That they should tighten up a bit, they don’t talk about LSS or anything like that.

The politicians received education

The politicians also received training in how they can adapt information to the target group. Ulric Nilsson from the Center Party tells what he takes away from the day.

– It was a big challenge to express myself in an easy way, but the biggest thing is that all individuals have different needs and different conditions. That we cannot have joint and collective solutions for everything, says Ulric Nilsson of the Center Party.

This is the third election year that the tour has taken place, and according to the organizers, the municipalities that participated in previous years have shown an increase in the turnout of people with intellectual disabilities.
