Nasty images – leaving behind impact shots to the head

It was only a few hundredths before Patrick Thoresen scored 3-1 in an open goal that his chain mate David Blomgren received a shot to the face.

The puck appeared to catch the side of his helmet and he fell to the ice immediately.

However, he was soon able to get off the ice on his own machine.

“Just go out and drive”

He did not return in the second period, but was back on the ice in the third period where Djurgården secured the victory with the numbers six goals to two.

Afterwards, Blomgren had to stand at the microphone and tell how things had gone with him.

– It will be a slightly high shot that takes just under the jaw and then the neck. So it was luck of the draw. It felt pretty good, we checked it out in the dressing room and it was calm so it was just out and driving, he says and adds:

– Nice that the neck or jaw could offer an assist as well.

Djurgården meets Björklöven in the team’s next match on Friday.
