NASAs Webb Telescope sent a selfie Here is the first

The Webb Telescope, which reached its target on January 25 and completed the opening process, took a ‘selfie’ by capturing the ‘inward-looking’ image of the primary mirror using its special lens. Commenting on Webb’s selfie, NASA said, “What you’re seeing is the actual primary mirror of Webb observing a bright star, which was the engineering target. “All the mirror segments see the starlight, but the bright segment is bright because from the NIRCam (near-infrared camera) field of view, the segment is directly aligned with the star,” he said.

It was stated that the telescope, an international partnership between the US National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), ESA and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), is designed to answer questions about the universe and make groundbreaking discoveries in all fields of astronomy. According to information shared from NASA, the telescope takes its name from James E. Webb, NASA’s second administrator and known for pioneering Apollo.
