We are aware of the risks looming over the territory how’s that seismic, volcanic, hydrogeological to which are added those related to climate change. We also have a common commitment with other European countries on energy efficiency. There is important work to be done to recover and enhance the huge building heritage built and we are doing so by operating through the new urban planning law, approved last April, which has placed the fundamental choices on two new paradigms: combating land consumption and urban regeneration”.
Second Stephen Russo, vice president of Acen, with responsibility for the Research Centre: Despite the downsizing of the residential real estate market, which is recorded for the ECB monetary policy and the resulting cost of loans, the housing demand of families is still considerable. However, it is necessary to satisfy the new needs with the urban regeneration of cities and the redevelopment of the building heritage both with regard to seismic safety and energy efficiency”.
