Naples ring road Mayor Manfredi meets infrastructure workers

(Finance) – The Mayor of Naples Cajetan Manfredi visited this morning the new site Of Naples ring road to Outside the cave and met the workers of the Autostrade per l’Italia Group company. “The Naples ring road – said the Mayor – is a fundamental asset for our city, vital in terms of interconnection: for this reason, the effort made by managers and workers to modernize and strengthen the infrastructure, while reducing the environmental impact, improving air quality and minimizing noise pollution, assumes particular importance. In this context, the safety road it is our guiding star”.

With a view to the interconnection with city life, Manfredi added, “we are working with the Chief Executive Officer Louis Mass to study new possibilities for developing the fundamental nodes on the infrastructure and, in particular, to strengthen the junctions of the hospital area, the strategic heart of our services for our territory, a nucleus that covers 50% of the beds in the metropolitan area. A very important operation to guarantee complete accessibility for emergency management”.

“We are working to guarantee an increasingly safe, efficient and green Naples ring road – said the CEO of Tana Luigi Massa – minimizing the impact on traffic, with construction sites mainly at night, with a low impact on traffic, given the peculiarity of the ring road which is characterized by daytime flows for around 95%”. The approximately 200 million euro modernization plan for the Naples ring road, launched last July and carried out with the scientific support of the Federico II University, which sees the involvement of the companies of the Autostrade per l’Italia Group – Amplia, Tecne, Movyon and Free to X – proceeds at full speed: “out of 24 planned interventions, 12 are fully operational construction sites”.

Dwelling on the theme of safety at construction sites, in the face of a major modernization plan, President Oliveri added: “We will not be able to say that we have achieved our objectives until we achieve the main objective: that is, to zero accidents at work”.
