Jireel is the artist who broke through with his debut single “Här & nu” in 2015. His big breakthrough came shortly after when he released the acclaimed album “Jettad” in 2017. Since then, he has been awarded both Artist of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at the P3 Gold Gala.

Jireel’s origin – where does he come from?
Jireel was born in Angola, but moved to Sweden when he was three. He grew up in Rågsved, which is south of Stockholm. For some time now he has been living in Mallorca together with his team.
– There are about ten of us who live in Palma. So it’s really nice and also to have people there that you know. Everyone just took their families and children there. It was a quick decision but it’s probably the best thing I’ve done. You just feel good. It’s like living a dream every day, the artist said in an interview in The evening paper.

Who is Jireel’s sister Isabel Pereira?
Jireel has nine siblings, and Isabel Pereira is one of them. She was born in 1995 and was one of the participants in the program Big Brother in 2020. However, her participation did not last long – after she expressed hatred about Jews, the production asked her to leave the program immediately.
Jireel distanced himself from the incident, and wrote as follows in a post on Instagram:
“Her statement was not right and I know my mother has taught us better. Even though we are siblings, we have different values about things in life. Different knowledge and experiences. She is her own person and responsible for her own actions”.

On November 15, 2024, Jireel will release his eighth album “YEMAYA”. Jireel’s most played song on Spotify is “MANO” – which has more than 37 million listens. In addition to that, he has also made hit songs such as “Cataleya”, “Amen”, “Chérie” and “Man Of The Year”. In 2018, he also made a song “Pari” together with the hip-hop group Hov1.

How did Jireel meet Alice Stenlöf?
In 2020, Jireel was together with the influencer Alice Stenlöf. The couple met at a party in Stockholm and got together shortly afterwards.
– That’s how we met, outside with a little alcohol in our bodies, and that led to us looking at each other, to making out with each other, Alice said when she was a guest on the podcast Two meters of nonsense in November 2020.

Jireel’s relationship with Alice Stenlöf did not last very long. As early as February 2021, the couple announced that they had chosen to go their separate ways.
After the breakup, Alice Stenlöf wrote like this on her Instagram:
“I’ve had a week where I barely got out of bed, didn’t eat or sleep. So my social media has been quiet. But I’m alive – and I’ll be fine again”.
Jireel also confirmed that it was he who chose to break up, rejecting all rumors of infidelity.

In an interview in The evening paper in the spring of 2024, Jireel confirmed that he is single, but dating.

Jireel has no children yet, but in the interview with Aftonbladet he expressed his longing for children. When asked what he hopes the future looks like, he replied that he would like to have more children. But first he wants to continue making music.
