This year’s men’s national team competition, the Davis Cup, will be decided by the eight-team final in November in Malaga, Spain. On Monday, the teams were announced, and there are greats of the sport, such as Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.
Sporting legend Nadal and younger star Alcaraz are aiming to bring victory to Spain for the first time since 2019. Spain will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
Reigning champion Italy is heading to Malaga with the top player in the world rankings Jannik Sinner under. Italy will face Argentina in the quarter-finals. The other quarter-final pairings are USA-Australia and Germany-Canada.
Finland, which sensationally reached the semifinals of the Davis Cup last year, was cut short earlier this month by the group stage of 16 countries in this year’s competition. From Finland’s group, Canada and Argentina progressed to the top eight.
