A shimmering, rectangular prism has been found in the rocks of a remote mountain range near Las Vegas in the United States.

The monolith, which reflects the desert environment it is surrounded by, is being investigated by US authorities since word of its existence spread on social media.

Las Vegas police found the monolith after a search operation.

“Look at this!” writes the police on X, along with pictures of the object.

Mysterious monoliths began to appear around the world in 2020. The first one was found in the desert of the US state of Utah. After that, similar objects were discovered in the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Canada and Great Britain.

Several attempts to find out the provenance of the rectangular mirror objects have been made, not least in groups formed on the Internet, but the question of who placed them and why has still been left unanswered.
