It was at 21 o’clock on Monday evening that people around Sweden witness something they had never seen before. One of them was Emma Toth, who was on the beach in Klagsham, south of Malmö.
– Tonight I saw the sickest I’ve ever seen in heaven! I was at the beach in Klagshamn and looked out over the sea and the stars and saw a big brilliant lump towards Copenhagen. Thought it was the moon or maybe the headlights in the clouds from an airplane. As it got closer, the light got bigger and began to change shape. It moved pretty quickly, and then disappeared, says Emma Toth, who filmed the light phenomenon.
Warm light ball that spun
Elliot Lundin, 15, in Sösdala in Skåne was also one of many who saw and photographed the light phenomenon.
– I was out in the spa when I saw it. First it was a warm light ball in the middle, which was screwed and spun. It moved along the sky and past me. Then it disappeared. I saw it about ten minutes in nine, then it started expanding, and disappeared after about 20 minutes, says Elliot Lundin.

TV4 News Meteorologist is also surprised.
– I really have no idea. I’ve never seen anything like this before, says Linda Eriksson Meteorologist at TV4 News.
The expert: Probable explanation
Eric Stempels, a researcher at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University, believes that it is a rocket that has caused the light phenomenon.
– It looks very much like a rocket that performs some kind of maneuver when it passes over Sweden and then falls back to earth.
He points out that there have been similar events before, with, for example, Space X rockets.
– I’ve said it before. This we will see more of the more companies we have that postpone things.
But he is particularly impressed with the pattern this time.
– This one will be nice and beautiful because it looks like a spiral.
At 19 o’clock on Monday evening, SpaceX shot up a rocket from Florida. However, according to Eric Stempels, it is more common rockets that have been postponed from California in Sweden.
