Mustafa Muuse continued his good performances in Belgium at the Night of Athetics event. Muuse ran his new record in the 5,000 meter B category.
Mustafa Muuse the final time in the competition was 13:30.04, and with this he improved his previous record, which he ran in May, by almost three seconds.
In Finland’s all-time statistics, Muuse, who turned 23 at the end of the summer, rose to 13th place Ari Paunonen past. He has improved his record from last season by more than 20 seconds.
– Let’s get better and have a good run. However, the stars weren’t exactly right when the weather was a bit bad, with rain and wind. Battle victory. The legs do not yet have the speed of the lower distances, so the end will not come properly yet, Muuse commented on his race in the Sports Association’s press release.
Muuse had to run in the B heat, where he finished fourth, although he hoped for a place in the better A heat. The fastest was from Uruguay Santiago Catrofe with a peak time of 13:05.95.
– There was a lot of adjusting due to lot divisions with other runners and managers, and finally I gave up. In the A set, it would have been good to have a speed of less than 13:25. But keep the snaps for a few seconds, and batching will also become easier. It’s pointless to complain about this.
This season, Muuse has also run his record in the 3,000 meters and the 5 kilometer road race.
