[Mis à jour le 5 janvier 2023 à 09h18] Bad news for the purchasing power of the French. Indeed, according to FranceInfo, a new increase in mutual insurance rates will come into effect in 2023. This increase due to the deployment of 100% health insurance and inflation will average around 4.7% according to figures from the French mutual insurance company. Compulsory collective contracts will be more impacted with a 5.7% increase, compared to an average of 4.1% for individual contracts, still in 2023. Only 2.2 million members will not suffer this increase.
Mutuals will increase, on average, by 4.7% in 2023. Individual contracts will be less impacted with an average increase of 4.1%. As for compulsory collective contracts (of companies or professional branches), it is a cold shower with an average increase of 5.7%. But then, what can this represent on your invoice? 49 euros per insured! Mutuals reimbursed 10% more care compared to 2019, hence this strong impact in 2023, in a still heavy inflationary context. The consumer price index reached 5.9% last December over one year.
