Musk scraps the Twitter bird – this replaces it

It’s time to scrap Twitter’s well-known name and bird logo, says owner Elon Musk.
“Soon we’ll say goodbye to the Twitter brand and eventually all birds,”
tweets he on Sunday.

Musk wants to change the name of the platform to “X” and in a later tweet he posted a picture of a flickering X and writes that the name change “should have been done a long time ago”. A new logo will be revealed shortly, he announces.

Elon Musk bought the platform Twitter last year for 44 billion dollars, corresponding to approximately 460 billion kroner.

Long history with the letter “X”

The desire to change the platform is not surprising given Musk’s long history with the name “X”. Musk has also set up three holding companies in the state of Delaware with different variations of the name X. In addition, he already owns the space company Space X.

If a good enough X logo is produced, Musk writes on Sunday that he wants to make the change worldwide as early as Monday.
