Musk asks Twitter users if he should resign

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In another drastic rule change, Twitter announced that users will no longer be able to link to Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon and other platforms that the company described as “forbidden.”

But the ban generated so much immediate criticism, including from people who had previously backed the billionaire on Twitter matters, that Musk vowed not to make any further major policy changes without letting users vote on the matter first.

“I apologize. Won’t happen again,” Musk tweeted before setting up a new 12-hour poll asking if he should step down as head of Twitter, adding that “I will follow the results of this poll.”

Voting closes at lunchtime on Monday. Then it remains to be seen how Musk acts, depending on what the result is.
