Musikhjälpen 2023 will take place at Växjö Stortorg in December. The production is a collaboration between Swedish Television, Swedish Radio and Radiohjälpen. Locally, Växjö & Co will also come. rowed in the event.
– The advantage is that Växjö is a small “big city”. The event can be seen here. We will be at Stortorget, right in the center. We will make sure that it becomes visible and engages everyone here, says Sara Almkvist, CEO at Växjö & Co.
First time in Småland
Karl-Johan Paulsson is SVT’s project manager for Musikhjälpen and is convinced that the event will do well in Växjö – which is the smallest city Musikhjälpen has ever visited.
– Växjö has a forward-looking drive and it feels like a young city. There is a student life here and there is a tradition of music in this city that should be fun to explore, says Karl-Johan Paulsson.
Host to be revealed later
Which presenters will be locked up for 144 hours in the famous glass cage on Stortorget, Karl-Johan Paulsson will keep for a while longer. This year’s theme will also be presented later in the autumn. But Växjö residents will definitely not be disappointed, he says.
– We have invited 40-50 of Sweden’s biggest artists and then we also want to engage all Växjö residents and Småland residents to do wonderful and crazy fundraising events. It’s a wonderful challenge we have in front of us, says Karl-Johan Paulsson.
