Singer, composer, actor and militant Egyptian poet, Abdullah Miniawy has been traveling the world for five years with The Cry of Cairo. This musical UFO between Sufi poetry, jazz and world music, created at the Festival d’Avignon, carries the suffering and the hope of the Egyptian youth of the Arab Spring. At 28 years old today, its creator has just recorded this committed program on an album and is giving it in concert this Monday evening March 27 at the New Morning in Paris.
