“Dorestad has a very rich history,” says museum teacher José van der Lee. “With this museum, Wijk bij Duurstede, as it is now called, gets the chance to tell this history well.” From April 1, the museum lessons will be combined with a short sailing trip on the Viking boat. This replica is fourteen meters long and was anchored in April last year in the Lower Rhine.
