Murhaf Hamid was hesitant to sell may flowers at all, but his friends persuaded him. Maybe they would earn enough together to be able to go out and eat pizza together, the friends thought.
After a tentative start, sales took off considerably. Now he can afford far more than a pizza – at least SEK 45,000 of the total will go to himself. The sale has brought great joy to the twelve-year-old, who is an asylum seeker and does not know what the future looks like.
– I want to buy a residence permit but it’s not possible, says Murhaf Hamid, who, among other things, plans to buy a mobile phone, shoes and clothes instead.
In the video, Murhaf talks about the feelings of having sold quantities of May flowers.
