A 19-year-old man is sentenced to forensic psychiatric care by the Luleå district court, after he stabbed his mother and brother to death in their shared villa in Luleå, writes SVT Nyheter Norrbotten.

It was on the ninth of March this year that the police and ambulance were called to the villa when the father had found his wife and older son injured downstairs.

Despite the fact that the man is considered to suffer from a serious mental disorder, the prosecutor requested a life sentence for the double murder. The defense requested forensic psychiatric care.

The man has confessed during questioning but denied during the trial to murder and said it was manslaughter.

Now the man is sentenced to forensic psychiatric care with a special discharge examination.
