A man in his 30s is sentenced to 14 years in prison for murdering a man with a nail gun in Tana in northern Norway.

The victim, also a man in his 30s, was killed with 20 nails and was found dead in June 2023. Eleven of the nine-centimeter nails were aimed at the head. The rest had entered the lungs from the front and back of the body.

The convicted murderer has confessed to the murder and said that he dragged the victim away and hid him under branches in the forest. According to him, the murder was the result of a conflict over drug sales and that the victim allegedly threatened his family.

The prosecutor asked for 14 years in prison and that no sentence discount be given because it took the now-convicted man a month to confess to the murder.
