A 21-year-old man stabbed his mother to death in Eskilstuna. Now he is sentenced to 16 years in prison for murder, reports P4 Sörmland.
It was on April 27 this year that the police were called to a home in the Skogsängen district in Eskilstuna where a 45-year-old woman was found dead.
The following night, the woman’s 21-year-old son was arrested on suspicion of murder. According to Eskilstuna-Kuriren, it was the 21-year-old’s younger sister who found the mother dead.
The Eskilstuna district court sentences the man, who admitted the deed in questioning, to 16 years in prison for murder.
According to the indictment, he killed the mother by repeatedly stabbing or stabbing her.
He stated during the trial that he was psychotic and heard voices at the time of the crime.
According to Eskilstuna-Kuriren, the man has undergone two forensic psychiatric examinations, both of which showed that he did not suffer from any serious mental disorder.
