A man in his 40s who was arrested on suspicion of murder in Eskilstuna has been released, local media reports.

– I have lifted the arrest against him. Suspicion against him was low from the beginning and it has not strengthened during these days, so I see no possibility of arresting this person, says chamber prosecutor Anna Asklöf, to SVT Nyheter Sörmland.

It was last Friday that a man was found dead in an apartment in Eskilstuna.

According to the police, it is still unclear what was behind the death.

– The circumstances surrounding the incident are still very unclear. We’ll have to wait and see what forensics comes up with. There are also some other things around that need to be sorted out, says Thomas Tellebro, criminal inspector at Eskilstuna police’s serious crimes unit, to Eskilstuna-Kuriren.
