The police have arrested the man suspected of murdering ten people in Canada together with his brother.

His brother, who was also a suspect in the case, was found dead earlier this week.

The suspect, Myles Sanderson, was arrested near the community of Rosthern in the Saskatchewan province late on Wednesday evening Swedish time. The arrest was preceded by the fact that the police had warned that a man armed with a knife had been seen in a car in the area.

– Myles Sanderson was located and taken into custody around 3:30 p.m. (local time) today, Saskatchewan police said, according to AFP.

He is suspected of carrying out the mass murder along with his brother Damien Sanderson who was found dead outside on Monday. According to the police, he must have had “visible injuries” that were not self-inflicted.

The murder, in which ten people were murdered and another 18 injured, took place on Sunday. The first alarm of a knife attack came from the James Smith Cree Nation early in the morning. After that, reports of attacks continued to pour in from various quarters in the indigenous community, which, according to its website, has around 1,900 permanent residents.

According to the police, dead or injured people have been found in a total of 13 different places.

The search for the two brothers began on Sunday. The motive behind the mass murder is unclear.
