Murder investigation on ice – suspect fled to Gaza
The police put the murder investigation into a suspected double murder in Nässjö last spring on hold. The man who is suspected of the murders is believed to have fled to Gaza, reports P4 Jönköping.
The man, who is 35 years old, is in custody in his absence on probable cause on suspicion of murder. He is already wanted internationally via Interpol.
On February 29 this year, two young men were found stabbed to death in an apartment in Nässjö. The suspect is suspected of having fled to Gaza immediately after the murder, according to prosecutor Emma Harrius.
– We have had contacts with, for example, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, it is the case that we can basically do nothing when he is in Gaza because there are no opportunities to cooperate with Palestine as it stands today, Harrius told the channel.
