During the day, a woman was found dead in an apartment in Sköndal in southern Stockholm.
– We received information that something may have happened in the residence in question. We searched the house and found a dead woman aged 25, says police spokesperson Ola Österling.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into murder and a 35-year-old man has been arrested.
Have a relationship with each other
During the evening, a prosecutor will decide whether the man should be arrested for a crime or not.
– The man and the woman have a relationship with each other, but at the moment cannot go into which one, says Österling.
The police, who were called to the scene shortly after noon, have been working during the day with a crime scene investigation. The site has been cordoned off.
Relatives have been notified.
