There is good news for a small group: about six hundred students appealed against the rejection of their application for an energy allowance. Their application will be reviewed. If they meet matters such as the income standard, they will still receive the energy allowance of 1800 euros. Students who have not lodged an objection or students who have not submitted an application at all cannot receive any money. The municipality calls that “painful”. “We realize that this is very unsatisfactory, especially to students who did not apply because they thought they were not eligible.”
