According to the city council, a broad school community with VMBO, HAVO and VWO for approximately a thousand students is highly desirable in Overvecht. It makes it possible for children from the neighborhood to attend different levels of education close to home and increases equality of opportunity in the neighborhood. The new school preferably has an extended first year, so that students do not have to choose until later and it becomes easier to transfer.
