According to the council, an offer has been made to the United Utrecht Muslims (VUMO) that has been further substantiated. “This land offer is in line with our land policy and provides coverage for the costs incurred by the municipality to make the Islamic cemetery possible,” the council writes. “We are thus imposing reasonable conditions, as intended in the Funeral Services Act. It is also in accordance with your council decision.”
