Utrecht – Several municipalities in the province of Utrecht, including Utrecht, Amersfoort, Nieuwegein, Eemnes, Soest, Rhenen, Leusden and Renswoude, have flown their flags at half-mast for the war between Israel and Hamas and all the suffering that results from it. “This is for all civilian victims who fell in the intense violence last weekend,” Utrecht mayor Sharon Dijksma wrote on X.
