The day after the death of Lilian Dejean, a 49-year-old municipal agent in the city of Grenoble, the man suspected of shooting him is still being sought. What happened Sunday morning in Grenoble?
On Sunday morning, at around 7:15 a.m., it all started with a road accident on Boulevard Jean Pain in Grenoble, involving two light vehicles, including an Audi RD3 “with a Polish license plate”. It is said to have hit the other car, a Peugeot 2008, which was waiting at the red light. Seeing the accident, a passer-by quickly came to the aid of the victims while the municipal officer, Lilian Dejan, who was approaching the scene, tried to block the driver of the Audi who was trying to flee.
It was then that the individual allegedly pulled out a weapon and twice shot the employee of the “urban cleaning service of the city on duty in the public space” at the time of the events, as the mayor of Grenoble, Éric Piolle, has since revealed.
