Mundys launches first 750 million Sustainability-Linked Bond

ESMA will initiate supervisory action on MiFID II sustainability requirements

(Finance) – Mundys has successfully launched its first 750 million euro Sustainability-Linked Bond with expiry in 5 years.

With this inaugural operation – explains a note – Mundys confirms its strong commitment to integrating sustainability into its financing strategy, increasing the share of debt and sustainable credit lines above 50%, at holding level.

The new issue recorded a solid response from investors (total pre-guidance order book of €2.2 billion, oversubscription of approximately 3.0x) and will allow Mundys to reduce the amount of debt maturing in the short term , including bonds maturing in February 2025 currently subject to the partial tender offer announced on January 15, 2024.

The new Sustainability-Linked Bond, dedicated to qualified investors and which is expected to be listed on the Euronext Dublin regulated market, will be issued under Mundys’ current Euro Medium Term Note Programme, as updated by supplement dated 27 December 2023, and based on the recently updated Sustainability-Linked Financing Framework.

Mundys has appointed BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Intesa Sanpaolo (IMI CIB Division) and Mediobanca as Global Coordinators and active bookrunners, Banca Akros and UniCredit as active bookrunners, BBVA, BPER, HSBC, Mizuho, ​​Natixis and Société Générale as other bookrunners and Crédit Agricole CIB as Sustainability Structuring Coordinator.
