Brendan Fraser is extremely popular with fantasy fans thanks to The Mummy. But even before the first film in the series, he landed a box office hit with George. The role as a Tarzan blend took more from him than meets the eye. He was so hungry that his thinking apparatus had misfires.

He said that in a Variety interview with fellow actor Adam Sandler. When asked about his muscular physique in the film, he revealed:

My body was depilated. Starved of all carbs. Once I needed money, went to an ATM and couldn’t remember my PIN. My brain was completely off track, I hit the machine. I hadn’t eaten anything that evening.

Many actors submit to one before topless scenes painful mix of training and extreme diet, to make the muscles stand out. Even Dwayne Johnson complained at times about the ordeal on the Black Adam set.
