Mummy star Brendan Fraser auditioned for the same Superman movie

Brendan Fraser’s critically acclaimed performance in The Whale, out late April, has given Brendan Fraser a shot at the Oscar for Best Actor. Now the The Mummy star has to be on Casting for a Superman role remembered, which would have changed his career completely. The later Man of Steel Henry Cavill also wanted to grab the role at the time.

Superman role has Brendan Fraser lured, but also put off

As Deadline reports, Fraser spoke about his then-Superman casting as a guest on The Howard Stern Show. The film was about Superman: Flybywhich was developed by JJ Abrams and was intended to deviate significantly from the well-known mythology of the DC hero in some places.
