These figures demonstrate an increase in violence, including against civilians. According to MSF, these injured people were victims of shootings resulting from clashes between different armed groups. The seriously injured are transported to Ndosho and Keshero hospitals to receive treatment.

This alarming trend is not only limited to Goma. In Rutshuru territory, 66 cases were recorded from October 22 to November 8 in Bambo. In the Masisi region, more than 400 cases of gunshot and bladed weapon injuries have been recorded this year in Mweso, including more than 100 in the month of October alone.
