MCU roles are highly competitive. For Tom Holland’s signature role Spider-Man, Marvel Films tested various actors over a long period of time. One of Holland’s competitors was Matt Lintz, who thanks to Ms. Marvel still made it into the realm of superheroes.
Matt Lintz almost became Spider-Man instead of Tom Holland
He told Insider:
I was at the top of the list for Spider-Man. But then the role went to this Tom Holland. Don’t know if you know him. It’s all cool though, he arrived one day [Ms. Marvel-] Set and I was able to talk to him. I look up to him in so many ways.

Lintz seems to have gotten over the disappointment. In Ms. Marvel he appears as Kamala Khans (Iman Vellani) best friend and gadget maker Bruno an impressive start. And who knows? Maybe he’ll go hunting with the Spider-Man soon.

Matt Lintz will on June 29, 2022 be in the fourth episode of Ms. Marvel. The Disney+ series will consist of six episodes, with the last one releasing on July 13, 2022.
