During Thursday evening, MS Ådalen III ran aground. Jerry Larsson, who is the CEO and owner of the boat, tells us that the boat was going through a strait, where it was both narrow and shallow. There they steered too far to the right and the boat ran aground.
– There was a rock or something there, we don’t know what exactly it was, says Jerry Larsson.
Hole in the hull
There was a hole in the hull at the back of the boat which caused the boat to take in water. Jerry Larsson says that divers were on site during Thursday evening and according to pictures the damage does not look that serious. Now the boat must be dry-docked and a proper prognosis must be made about the damage.
