(Finance) – Monte dei Paschi di Siena Bank has communicated that it is the period for exercising the option rights has ended purchased during the auction on Euronext Milan, as a result of which 29,465,590 newly issued ordinary shares were subscribed for a total value of 58,931,180 euros.
There 96.3% share of the capital increase achieved post exercise of the rights purchased at auction corresponds to a total of 1,203,123,666 shares due to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in relation to the shareholding already held, and to institutional and private investors.
The remaining 46,541,982 shares newly issued – for a value of 93,083,964 euros (equal to 3.7% of the capital increase) – will be subscribed by underwriting syndicate banksnamely BofA, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Mediobanca as joint global coordinators, and Banco Santander, Barclays, Société Générale and Stifel as joint bookrunners, as well as Algebris.
