In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the global epicentre of monkeypox, also known as mpox, which has already caused more than 570 deaths, among the 16,700 cases recorded in the country since the beginning of the year, the authorities are mobilising. All provinces, including the capital Kinshasa, are affected. This Monday afternoon, the Minister of Health announced a response plan of 49 million dollars, not including the vaccine doses expected from donor countries.
