The Green Party demands that the Riksdag’s Finance Committee interrupts the summer holidays for a meeting – and that urgently.
The reason is the extreme weather in Europe and the Green Party wants with the extra meeting to stop attempts to further reduce petrol and diesel taxes below EU level. And halve the food VAT so that food prices can be reduced.
– We must take this crisis seriously. We are facing high food prices this autumn and we must deal with that now, says the Green Party’s spokesperson Märta Stenevi.
