In Mozambique, Daniel Chapo became the fifth president of the Republic. He was invested this Wednesday morning and thus extends the unchallenged reign of Frelimo, the party in power for almost 50 years. His election is still very contested. The inauguration was also held in a climate of unprecedented tension, since the opponent Venancio Mondlane had called for three days of national strike.
