Last week, the environmental administration made an unannounced inspection at McDonald’s Nobelplan in Karlstad. During the check, mouse poo was discovered in the product intake.

Henrik Nilssonregional manager at McDonald’s, says News24 that only mouse droppings have been found at the front door and that the restaurant immediately put mouse traps there.

The Environmental Board’s decision

In the environmental board’s decision which NWT have taken part in, it says the following:

“The environmental management assesses that your routines are deficient and that you do not live up to the legislation’s requirements for pest control. In order for consumers not to be exposed to unnecessary risks, we believe that measures are required”.

The restaurant was given a week to fix the problem.

– No further traces have been found – and the follow-up inspection by Environment and Health today was approved.
