E4 Förbifart Stockholm is the motorway connection that will run from Kungens Kurva south of Stockholm to Häggvik, north of the city. The route is over two kilometers long, most of which is in a tunnel.

Now the Swedish Transport Administration has decided to open part of the trail four years earlier than planned. It is about a stretch of 3.5 kilometers between Häggvik and Hjulsta.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the opening should help reduce travel time for road users and also relieve the larger surrounding roads.

The partial opening is planned for the fall of 2026 and the entire E4 Bypass Stockholm is supposed to open in 2030 in its entirety.
